01 - 4 large apples (about 1.5 lbs), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
02 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice

03 - 3 large eggs
04 - ½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)
05 - ⅓ cup whole milk (⅓ cup)
06 - ⅓ cup heavy cream (⅓ cup)
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
09 - ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
10 - Pinch of salt

→ Topping

11 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
12 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
13 - ¼ cup sliced almonds (optional) (0.9 oz)

# How To Make:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch pie dish or tart pan with butter.
02 - Toss sliced apples with lemon juice and spread evenly in the dish.
03 - Whisk eggs, sugar, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
04 - Pour the custard mixture evenly on top of the apples in the dish.
05 - Drizzle melted butter over the surface, sprinkle brown sugar, and scatter sliced almonds if using.
06 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until custard is set and edges turn lightly golden.
07 - Let cool at least 15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
